Injustice For Animals

For many years humans have been in coexistence with animals. They have been best-friends to simple entertainment. They have also been and still are a source of shelter and nutrition. How ever over that  pass couple decades mans attitude has changed towards our furry friends. The attitude has changed from kindness to cruelty and injustice. Man is wrong for many things but animal cruelty is the second worst thing that man can do other than killing another human.

In the year 2007 Micheal Vick was accused, tired, and arrested for illegal dog-fighting. When I heard this news I became sick to my stomach. To take animals and pit them against one another inhuman. These dogs everyday life was a struggle. They were beaten until they became undomesticated and feral. During their supposed training for the ring if they did not so potential and if they lost in the ring  they were killed. They were killed by ways of a mad-man electrocuted, beaten to death, hanging and drowning. For these crimes Micheal Vick was sentenced a short 23 months in prison. For killing a human a man can get 25 years to life. So for killing an animal who has done no wrong to us one can only get 23 months of life taken away. But for a human a life time is taken. Is a life not a life? Is a human life greater than an animals.

There are laws protecting animals against animal cruelty however humans do not pay them much attention and aren't very strict. If a animal kills a human it is considered a danger to human life, it is then hunted and killed. But if a man kills a animal He is simply sent to prison for a short amount of time then set free. If they place more police officers to enforce these laws animal cruelty might not exist

Horses who race for human entertainment sometimes fall and break their legs. And since a horses leg is hard to care for man usually kill the horse with lethal injection. So first an animal was forced to run for profit of man and then killed when it can no longer perform. Killing an animal because it can no longer make you money is unjust and wrong.
